What You Should Know Before Buying (Honest Take)

• 55 Nm is a flat-to-rolling commuter, not a hill-climber. The Meta is smooth and confident on city streets, bike paths, and moderate inclines. If your daily route includes long, steep grades — or you’re a heavier rider regularly tackling sustained climbs — a higher-torque bike will feel less strained. Know your route before you buy. • The single battery is enough for most; the second battery is the real reason to choose this bike. If your commute is predictable and short, you may never need the second pack. The dual-battery capability earns its place for riders with unpredictable days and after-dark rides home. Buy the bike for that flexibility, not because you’ll drain 1,440 Wh daily.
• 3.0″ tyres are a comfort choice, with a small efficiency cost. Wider tyres roll a touch slower and use slightly more battery than a skinny commuter tyre. The trade is a noticeably smoother, more stable ride on rough roads. If you ride glass-smooth paths only and want maximum range per watt-hour, a narrower-tyre commuter is more efficient — but most Canadian roads reward the wider tyre.
• 68.4 lbs / 31 kg is normal for the class, but it’s still a real lift. Removing the battery drops a few kilos for carrying. Plan for ground-floor storage, an elevator, or a sturdy rack rather than hauling it up multiple flights regularly.
